Our Approach

Learn on your own time your own way! Our unique approach recognizes that adults all learn differently. We provide the curriculum and vital material that enables you to study and learn on your own time, in your own space, and at your own pace. With our system, you’ll quickly and easily learn any laser system, and you’ll find it easy to get a job in the laser field AND be as successful as you can dream you’ll be. |
We offer three levels to our training. Level I introduces you to the world of Lasers, as well as how laser hair removal works, and you’ll get to laser treatments on real people! Level II is for those technicians who want to work in this exciting industry. The curriculum walks you through the steps of building your own client base of laser hair removal customers. You will get paid to do these treatments. No other school pays you as a student but we do! Level III is for those people interested in owning a Smooth Skin Centers franchise or operating a Company store.
Level I: After paying the tuition, you will receive the curriculum, which you take and learn on your own time in your own way. Once you’re confident that you’ve learned the material, you’ll take a timed, open-book test. Once you pass this test, you’ll be scheduled with real laser models and perform 10 hours of actual laser treatments. Upon completion of your 10 hours, you will be a Certified Laser Technician and be awarded a Certificate. Congratulations!
Level II: This curriculum is designed to help you write your very own, very personal plan of operation for finding, attracting, selling and treating your own clients. Though you are technically still a student, you will be paid a percentage of the sales you make. No other school pays you to learn! We help you with your plan of action and support you with implementation tools, like scripts to memorize so that you’ll be confident and comfortable talking to anyone about laser hair removal. You’ll find customers, we’ll schedule them, and you’ll do the treatments. It’s just that simple! With an additional 20 hours of treatments, which you get paid for, it is possible to earn enough to pay off your Level I and Level II tuitions. Such a deal! Once you have performed these 20 hours of treatments, you will be awarded a second Certificate and be awarded a Master Certified Laser Technician.
Level III: This process is an on-going learning experience where you will be trained on all the aspects of running your own Smooth Skin Centers operation.
Career Opportunities
For the technician who wants to work as an independent contractor with Smooth Skin Centers, he or she can earn over $100,000 working part time. Sounds crazy, but it's true.
$100 per hour is the Industry Average.
Another reason why laser hair removal is a good career choice is that it is gaining popularity. After all, everyone has unwanted hair somewhere on their body, and it is tempting to eliminate the need for shaving.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the training take?
Level I training can be completed in as little as two weeks. Level II generally requires more time, but your completion is based on your efforts and activities alone. Level III requires several months for successful completion.
What is the Cost of the Training?
Our competition charges up to FOUR TIMES what we do and offers a limited curriculum. Go to our Pricing page then submit an Application Form for enrollment to the Level I program.
I am already certified as a laser tech, but I’d like to take Level II and Level III. Can I do that?
You will need to meet with the Director to determine if your qualifications are equivalent.
Will the certificate offered with Level I training be enough to fulfill state certification requirements?
There is actually no requirement from most states in the U.S. to be a laser technician. However, laser clinics and centers find that their malpractice insurance requires certificates of training for anyone operating the laser. In most cases, Level I and Level II certificates will suffice.
How Do I Get Started?
Fill out the Application Form and then we will contact you and schedule an appointment with the Director. You can also call us at (720) 382-1365 to schedule an appointment with the Director. At this meeting, you and the Director will discuss your goals, the objectives of the Institute and together, you will determine if this is a match. Once you decide and pay your tuition, you will receive your curriculum, and you’re on your way!
What are the Prerequisites?
While you don’t need to be an aesthetician, RN, or have any experience in hair, skin, medicine, science, or physics, we do require that you have a high school diploma or GED, as well as least an Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college.
